BF2 Reboot

Hey Guys,
I have been playing the bf2 demo and now bf2 retail and I have been getting this weird and very annoying problem.. After an hour or so of gameplay my game freezes, my monitor goes black, and then my computer reboots. My CPU and Mobo temps seem normal and this only happens in bf2. I have tried the latest omega drivers and today I switched to the latest ati drivers. I still get the problem.

Specs:
AMD FX55
Asus A8V Deluxe
ATI 9800 Pro 256mb
1gb Corsair XMS pc4400
WD Raptor 74
Antec Neopower PSU

I had the same problem with a Compaq Pressario years ago before I started building my own. I could play Total Annihilation for only about an hour, even if the computer had been off all day, or on all day. Didn't matter if anything else was running in the background, or it all other programs were off. Tired latest drivers for my video card, and never found out what the problem was.

I ended up formating the hardrive and making a clean install of windows and it worked great, for about a year and then started being stupid again. I decided to just make a clean install once a year, and I've been doing that ever since.

Try some different ram, or if you have 2 x 512, take out one and see if maybe one of the chips are bad.

Does your PSU have enough ventalation?

Have you checked lately for spyware or trojan horses? Could anything be running the background forcing your computer to dump it's memory?

I used to think that my issue was due to heat also, but I had enough fans, and I could play StarCraft for days straight, it was only the one game I had problems with. Thing of it is though, that happened to be my favorite game, and still is.

Edit----
What are you using to watch your temps? You have a software programs or just the BIOS? Hear are a few programs you might want to consider running to monitor your temp levels. Use one of those to make sure you're not getting too hot.

The thing is this only happens during bf2.. I always play hl2 and css and it never happens. I googled it and someone said they fixed it by turning down their agp speed. I think it is either a video card or game issue.

My CPU and Mobo temps are the same they have always been. They are cooler when I play bf2 then when I play like RoN or AoM (Or any RTS game).

For temps I use ASUS probe.. software that came with my mobo

friend has a 9800 pro... it gets really hot... i just got him a new graphic card cooler and now everything is a stable temp. i really think it might be that graphic card is getting taxed... but strange that different games dont have problems...
