Radeon 9100? That seems low. Latest vid and chipset drivers with latest game patches might help. So would a newer vid card lol

The problem lies in the card. Battlefield and NFSU2 both require a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card. The 9100 only supports DirectX 8.1. You'll need to look into a video card upgrade. If you are on a budget, the Geforce 6600GT or the Radeon 9800Pro would be good choices.

Well you said it just started happening, what have you installed recently that may be causing problems. I'm assuming 1942 worked fine before and now all of a sudden it stopped working, right?

BSOD sounds like bad drivers somewhere in the mix.

try installing this http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3214.html and cleaning out all of your driver files after uninstalling them, then reinstalling the latest drivers

for $300 you can get a heck of a nice card. I remember having issues playing any 3D app with my card too, tried installing DX like 10 times, reinstalled the drivers like 2-5 times, different versions old and new... coudnt stop the system from crashing. Only a clean install of Windows fixed it. Running till this day (about 4-5 months now) knock on wood...
