please insert correct cd-rom!??

"need for speed porsche" CAME with my pc...all the other games work other then this..and its not cracked..the only time the game works is when i first download it and go staright to the game from the download..other then that i get "please insert correct cd-rom"..why is that?

I have the same problem with Need for Speed Underground. I ended up finding a no cd crack on a P2P file sharing program. After I ran that, it worked just fine. Really frustrating, because you go out and buy the game, and then you are still forced to hack into it.

I also purchased Underground 2 that I cannot play online, because my cd key is allready in use. EA Games wants me to send them the game with another $10 for another cd key. I don't see that happening soon. The game costs enough allready.

Look, you already said that you downloaded the game in your first thread, and here you keep on referring to having "downloaded" it, so please don't pretend that you have the game legally. We can't help you with pirated software.

I know a lot of people that don't use the correct computer terms. My mom told me a few months ago that she "fried" her first music cd. A good friend of mine, my father in law also, always use the word download when they mean to say install. Other people I know say upload when they want to rip music.

Just find out excatly what he's trying to say before you lable him a pirate. It's possible he's just unfamiliar with computer terms. I noticed he only has 8 posts so he might not make computers his livley hood like we do.

I'm referring as much to this thread as to what he is saying now. If there is any question as to the origin of this game, we can't help. Unlike many other forums on the web, this one is not a haven for crackers and software pirates. That's what makes it so nice.

Gee, that's too bad. He either has a lot of clarifying to do, or he's looking for help in the wrong place.

I honestly don't even know where to go to get help for stuff like that. I don't download games. I have rented them before, there's a video store near me that rents pc games. They sell them too after about a year or so. It's pretty tough to play one on the internet though cause you know the cd key has allready been used by hunderds of people.

It annoys me to no end when people do that... I just want to get up and smack'em on the side of the head. I dont understand how this ever got started.

Either way... if you dont read it too literally in both of his threads, he could still be just butchering terms together.
