How fast is your system? New Benchmark

http://gameadvisor.futuremark.com/ga.../my_system.jsp

Try it Works with IE 6, tried with FF, does not work.
Now for something 4 years old my pc is one of the top 5%

Now this is something new. That workstation chipset did have extra power in it.

P4c 2.8ghz, 2x512mb kingston pc3200, asus p4r800-vm, seagate 80gb ATA and an EVGA 6600gt AGP at stock right now.

I dont think that benchmark actaully tests anything, I think it just analyzes your hardware and gives a score according to a pre-made database.

It says I'm in the tope 31%. Not bad for a three year old system I guess.

Somehow, I don't think this benchmark is all that fantastic.

It doesn't actually measure performance. It just looks at your specs. I wouldn't exactly call it a benchmark. The Windows XP Game Advisor has been around for a while. This looks like the same thing.

It doesn't seem to benchmark anything, just rank you based on all the system specs it has in it's data base. At any rate, I was top 4%.

well, if it is going according to a premade database, it's a pretty weird one. i scored in the top 12%, and i think netnamakan's rig would outdo mine in a gaming situation (better vid card, more ram)....

That was a pretty quick benchmark. What is left of my 4 yr old Gateway is in the bottom 9%. And the system in my sig is in the top 4%. I'm not into games or really don't care if my system is the fastest. I just built it the way I wanted. Expensive but "made my way". Kinda sounds like a Burger King commercial huh?
