Ok alot of ppl must have played this game and im planning to buy it, only problem is I can't decide which one to buy. Now Vice City is a nice affordable game, $20 and its very nice for the price... but not going price wise (well it will be part of the final decsiion) i was wonder what ppl had oppinions. for example, vice city had more loose story plot ( i dont know i havent played the game, just stole cars and drove around in both games nvr played the missions whta i mean) or that san andreas is nice and large and very easy to get used to.
So price is not the problem, the deicision is. I can't deicede and i read the reviews but they dont really explain how the games are good. all it says is... game good, good graphics good music, etc. thanks for the help. Spartan-015

Don't mean to crap but the graphics suck and the games were not my bag of tea.
But if I were you I'd get the latest one. I heard it's huge and has lots to do in it. Plus naturally it'd have the best graphics and hopefully improvements over the others as far as compatibilities and features.

I think San Andreas was much better than VC. It's very big, but very enjoyable there are lots of missions, and they are easy to follow, and of course you still have the little side missions (spraying over 100 enemy gang tags, finding 50 oysters, and other stuff as well) and the good ol' running around committing crimes.

SA has 3 cities, each city bigger then VC. Not to mention there is country side inbetween each city, deserts, redwood forests, the whole shebang. getting from one city to another takes about 10 minutes cruising on the highway.
The story is very intense and is pretty easy to get into(if you like "thug-life" movies). So pretty much I would say to get SA over VC, but they are both great games. |

I just bought GTA: SA this weekend. It's good and all, but I just like the feel of VC better. I loved the whole 80's in Miami thing. Cruisin' the beach on a chopper with some Flock of Seagulls playing, yeah...

I have to agree and say I preferred VC more. The missions are a lot more fun than the ones in SA, IMO. However, for just blatting around in fast cars and messing about, SA is better. It's just that I really didn't like some of the missions. Oh, and I find that I just can't be bothered with finding tags/oysters/horse shoes because the map is so big. You could look around for hours and not find any... |

The finding things is something that I'm not too good at. At least there are some that are in only one city rather than in Los Santos, San Fiero, and Las Venturas. Like the tags all being in Los Santos (I would always seem to spot tags when I was actually on a mission so it wasn't really convenient to get out and spray over them). The photo ops being only in San Fiero. And then the horseshoes are all in Last Venturas. But then you have flowers and oysters in all three and they aren't as easy to find. Plus you have to go swimming, and go underwater to actually find all the oysters.
But the actual missions that go with the story line of the game I like. Last edited by bigandy; 07-18-2005 at 10:35 AM. |

I would suggest playing and clocking Vice first, then trying SA. They're two stand-alone games, with different styles, and it's more fun doing VC I reckon

Nothing wrong with getting both. I have both, but haven't played VC for quite some time. I do like the gang thing, it's pretty fun actually.

The Hot Coffee mod isn't appropriate for these forums. I personally don't use it. If you want it, you can find it with a google search.

Remember kids, if you where someone else's shoes, where socks.
