game recommendations...

Hey everybody. Im getting my new rig equipped with the lethal bfg 7800gtx vid card...with no games to play (i have far cry and unreal tournament 2k4). I need some recommendations for good games on the market. Have my eyes on Battlefield 2 but i really want a good jet fighter game. I got a thing for fast planes that shoot other planes down Not a big fan of call of duty. modern day, sci-fi's, racing and jet fighter games get my heart going. Thanx in advance.

Have you played Half Life 2? I highly recommend it. It's an absolutely stellar game. The Splinter Cell series is really good. If you like big multiplayer battles check out Joint Operations.

If you like strategy games then Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, and the good old Age of Empires series are really good. Age of Empires III is coming out before too long and looks very impressive.

I've been out of the loop on racing and flying games lately so I don't know what to recommend there.

You should most definetly check out BattleField 2 because you can fly jets in it. You can blow up stuff with the planes and bomb buildings, its pretty cool.

If you like racing games, check out GTR. It was kinda under the radar for a while, but now it's getting good press. Super realistic, track racing only. Been hooked on it.

Yeah, a couple of months ago. I've been longing for a good PC sports car game ever since Grand Turismo 3 came out. I was looking at a preview for a classic sports car simulator that SimBin is releasing this fall, and noticed that they released GTR in 2004. It doesn't have a million cars and tracks, and car purchasing like GT4, but the driving is incredible.

Can't wait for this:
