the gameplay is awesome - the squad action is great. A lot of technical issues though.

It's not really like COD. It's meant to be played with squads and there is a lot of strategy involved. With that said, I still like JointOps better.

HAHAHA. sorry. You have to click on one of the white dots in the map to the right, which chooses where you spawn. Do you have a stereo? I think it tells you that.

I also found out that the demo is harder on your pc than the actual game. If the demo doesn't run perfectly then don't fret, the game is much better optimized - though it still needs more work.

BF2 is great. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go play it now!
For those of your experiencing technical problems, patch 1.03 is on the way and they said it fixes over 145 issues. It should be here in late August.

It's def. worth it. I'm building a new system just so I can run BF2 at home. I'm putting $2000 into the new system right now so i'll be able to run it on high everything. Between my new job, BF2, and just getting married it's hard to have any "down" time. I have been spending way to much time/money at my local LAN gaming center lately. Once you get the basics of it down the game will suck you into its black hole

Regans, if ur still stuck on the map spawn select, click the kit button and you'll see the white dots come up as spawn points on the map. That foxed me for ages too. I have no idea why you can't select a point when you are on the squad tab. (that's from memory - hope I got it right).
Anyway, BF2 is excellent, a lot slower gameplay than COD IMO though. Bought it a while back and couldn't get into it but had a good play on Sunday and loved it... |

Thumbs up
I had the demo for a minute, and then went out and bought the game a couple days ago... not coincidentally, this is my second day of being up past 4am!
I think the game's highlight is its flexibility. I mean that it can be strategic or fps... You can choose to be a grunt in a squad and follow orders, or command from on high, or be a lone wolf and wreak havoc... additionally, for those who don't like killing, even the computer kind, you can get off on resupplying your team, or acting as a medic... And you can also get your vehicles on... There are issues with it however... It doesn't run all that fantasic on my GEforce5900.. I can play, but it is nowhere near as stunning as on my friend's 7800gt... I've also been having problems getting it to connect. Originally meant to post about it, but got trapped in this thread. Look for another thread dealing with my technical difficulties.. I think its worth it, if you like war games (FPS or strategy) and have a pretty decent GPU. I don't like how the online gaming doesn't allow you to create a friends list and find/join your online buddies... It's a pain to try and organize that from afar. Agree with the names of people in your vehicle being a prob. |

Re: Favorite
BF2 comes with gamespy. You can save BF2 favorites in gamespy and open the game from there.
