fqpissed Open GL on my SIS 6326 8 meg card(or lack of it)

I have a 450 AMD with 256megs of RAM,I have an 8meg SiS 6326 AGPcard which came with the system. When i go to play games like Quake 3 arena and Unreal Tournament,it wont let me saying i need Open GL support.WHAT IS IT???????When i look at the SiS website it says my card has that support ,i even downloaded the latest drivers for my card but still nothing.I look at various catolouges supplying my card which also says it supports Open GL.Is there something wrong with my card,or is it just me???

The card that you have is an integrated video card. That card doesn't support opengl and its direct3d performace is very poor. Youre better off buying a true 3d acclerator like a geforce 2 or ati radeon

The 6326 is not necessarily an integrated card and more than likely not, just change card type to "standard vga" then shutdown, remove old card, put in new one, restart, and load the drivers for the new card.

If its not an integrated card, removing it from the device manager and restarting will suffice. Then you can install the drivers.

If its integrated, install the card in pci slot1 and restart and it should be disabled (if its a pc chips motherboard)

Your new card should come with detailed instructions for replacing your old card and installing the new.
