Steam problems with new ATI drivers

Since I updated to the most recent ATI drivers any game I try and play in steam says "The game is not available, try again later". Any ideas?

Lol. id revert back to the 5.7 catalyst and see if alls okay again. if so then theres obviously a problem with the 5.8,s . you aint gonna see a difference anyway , so just leave the 5.7,s on there.

I've had a look around various forums with people posting exactly the same problem as you're having with steam.

The general opinion is that usually a un-install and re-install usually solves the problem.

I have seen on the forums though lots of people having problems.

An uninstall and reinstall of steam, or the drivers?

Well, after reinstalling Steam and all games for FOUR GODDAMN HOURS (updates) it still didn't work. I'll try changing the drivers later.

If there are serious issues with the game(s)/steam, valve usually comes up with updates anywhere from a few days to a week later.

For now, try going back to the last set of video card drivers that worked.
