Prepare to lose sleep, miss meals, be late to work, etc. It's incredible, indescribable, tons 'o fun.

I used up my free month a couple of months ago and quit. Last month I started back up and logged 10 days (240 hours) of total game time in 3 weeks.

Lock the doors, close the blinds, unplug the phone, and let it consume you

Yeah what they are saying is not lies, this game is easily addicting, and it's not one of those games where you can play it like 10 minutes a day and get somewhere, when you sit down, make sure you have things done for the day so you can actually enjoy a nice uninterrrupted gaming session, I find thats always the best way to play WoW.

Expect to spend quite a long time getting from A to B, you don't realise it actually takes so long until you start looking at a clock.

when i started saterday 6hrs seemed like only 2hrs trust me it gets very additcting when you first start and the people on my server are very nice ive had random people walk up to me and give me items (like bags or food). sadly yesterday i only got to play for about an hour and a half and almost leveled up to 11 but atleast i got my hunters pet qsts out of the way so in that hour and a half atleast i did accomplish something

Great game, but horrible service. Pray that when you call off work, drop the kids off at daycare, and shut yourself in the house that the server is actually working. I'd say at least 33% of the time I try to log on I can't, and have to either wait a few hours (which while going to work or school is the difference between playing or not), or just wait until the next day.

When it first came out, there were a lot of problems with being able to connect and having to wait in queues to get in, but for a while now, they seem to be fine. At least on my server.

The big thing that really makes me enjoy WoW is the sense of humor that Blizzard has put into the game. Simple stuff like gorillas in un'goro who carry around empty barrels. There is a quest in a higher level dungeon where you transform into an ogre, and if you dance, it looks just like that SNL skit where Chris Farley was trying out for the chippendales.

Yup I have never had a problem logging onto my server. The only time is when the server goes down for scheduled maintenance on tuesdays. I play on Illidan and have never had a problem. You should check and see what the population level is of a server before creating a character on it, I imagine you would have more problems with a high populated server.
