Problem with PS2 Controller > USB adapter

Hi, I ordered one of these and it arrived today, I can't seem to get it working. I installed the driver, plugged it in, but what now? theres no configuration utility, there isn't any sign of it in control panel> controllers yet its working because the lights in it are shining?
can anyone help?
thanks

(sorry if this is the wrong section)

hmmm well it usually means its a faulty driver, make sure you go and dl the plug and play one for USB gamepads. like i think its a in general one so it accepts almost any type. my friend had an xbox one (which he just made by cutting and soldering lol) and all he did was install some driver (after all he didnt buy it)

ill look around for what type of driver...
