i notice that you dont have health, there is a diffrence though, when you run into
-2 mg42 (shooting intense bullets at your a$$) -about 20-25 guys (mp40, ect...) -and artillerie. i think that the grapphics for the demo is insane though the game is unreal. |

I have played through the demo and it is very good.
The graphics could be better in my opinion. Some of the textures are downright bad. I don't get why so many game developers skimp on textures. The reason Half Life 2 looks so good is the high quality, high resolution textures that are used throughout. The graphics in COD 2 don't seem to be a huge step ahead of COD 1. It is just a demo, however, and graphics aren't everything. It is a very immersive demo and I look forward to the final release. I just hope they address the low quality textures that are seen in some places. |

I can't remember what game it was, but there was a game where you got shot, and if you used a med pack it only recovered a percentage of your health, dependent on where you got hit. Say it was a torso shot, a med kit might have only repaired 70% of your health prior to the hit. I'd prefer something like that. Anyone remember that game?? If so, tell me the name

What do you guys think of the graphics? They don't look all that great to me. They certainly don't look bad but I was expecting more. See THIS thread on AVS forum where I posted a comparison of COD 2 and DOD Source (page 2). Appearently others are seeing it differently than me.

Yeah I was expecting better graphics, they didn't really seem that great - not much of an improvement of the original. Though the smoke and AI seemed very good.

I'm not sure if I like the new health system. It definitely will force many players to use different strategies. I also didn't like the fact that you only get two firearms. Perhaps the smoke grenades take up the slot the sidearm would have taken?
I'm also not sure if I missed not have an additional running mode. Although... in the 1st COD and the expansion, running was pretty useless since it had verys hort duration, so I guess I'm not really missing this feature at all. Overall, I thought the gameplay was a little more immersive in that the weapons feel more realistic. I can't really explain it, but it just felt better.

I thought the graphics looked pretty good. I have really enjoyed playing the demo on all levels of difficulty. The one thing I do not like so much is the health system. Medpacks are a little unrealistic but at least you do not automatically recover your health. Medics would be a great addition to these games.
