Generally if you want to benchmark then you're wanting someone or something to compare it to, so use what they're using

Any 3D game. As long as I don't notice frames dropping, my computer is good and I need no benchmark to make me feel good.

If you want to measure frames per second; I would suggest Fraps. This little program works like a charm for me. http://www.fraps.com/
