Just pushed my scores up a little more.

3DMark05: 12970
Super Pi @ 1M: 28.485 sec

So close to 13000 I can smell it.

What would be a good pic site for linking a pic of Super Pi, CPU-Z specs and 3DMark scores to here?

Sheesh..I tried PhotoBucket and they just want too much personal information...my date of birth, street address and my work and home phone number....forget it. I am on enough marketing data bases already. LOL

Any other ideas?

My rig is getting a little long in the tooth now, it seems. I haven't been in this forum much in the last year. I've barely had time to think about playing any computer games, let alone actually doing it! That's not entirely true, I have played a couple of games with my 5 year old son, but they're not the type of high frame rate FPS's I used to get into. I haven't played much of anything since Doom 3 came out last year. I can't even remember what my rig scored, I used to have them in the sig but shortened it a while back.

New numbers for me.

3DMark05 = 6885
3DMark03 = 14440

Same CPU settings I had before (3.7Ghz) and my video card settings are in the picture below.

Thank you ATI and Intel for the new drivers.

Edited : Turbo91Bird I removed the pics, they were great but a link is the way to go here, and edited the last sentence, please see Rules.

MSI K8N Platinum (non-SLI)
HIS X800GTO Turbo IceQ II 256 MB
1G Corsair DDR400 XMS3200
Athlon 64 3700+
Seagate Barracuda 160GB SATA

3DMarks 4388
SuperPi 42s

Do those numbers seem OK for the system I'm running? I haven't played with any settings in the BIOS or on the video card. If I tweaked, how much higher results could I expect?

No Overclocking so far I get 7871 for 3DMark05

Which is pretty darn good I think for this computer, but while I use benchmarks I don't go solely by them in judging a computer system.

Turn off AA and AF, shut down unnecessary backgroud processes and your AV and Firewall. Then try again.

3DMark05 is highly graphics card dependent. Although you have a very nice processor, I think your graphics card(s) are your limiting factor along with the things Ryan mentioned. Bump your vid card up to a 7800GT or GTX or X1800XT and you will probably get much better scores. As a point of reference, with my sig rig, I score around 7100. I would expect my vid card to do better than yours, whether you have 1 or 2. JMO.

According to THG's VGA charts, a 6600GT and a FX-57 get's in the 3400's. Not a very large increase there. Don't worry about your benchmarks, they don't really mean anything. Your system is performing fine.
