That seems kinda low for a 6600. Maybe it's the vid card....

For the record, the CPU test is supposed to have low framerates. In that test, 3DMark is using the CPU entirely to render the images, not the video card. Since the CPU is not designed for that kind of intense work, the way the GPU is, framerates fall into the single digits on any rig.

3Dmark 2001 26426
Super PI 31.687s [1M]

not quite what I would of hoped for after finishing new build, but still not bad for an AGP video card system

SuperPi...

1 Million - <0 seconds
2 Million - 1 second
4 Million - 4 seconds
8 Million - 9 seconds
16 Million - 20 seconds
32 Million - 45 seconds

I'm impressed, since I can't even run Half-Life 2 on the lowest settings at full speed.

I'd like to see a processor for a desktop PC that can do 1M superpi in less then 0 seconds.
My OC'd E6600 gets 11 seconds for 1 million.

3dMark05 score : 18566 (with The Titan)

Since laptop processors are slower than desktop processors, that makes it even more unlikely.

VideoQuasar, I converted your inline image to a link. There's a maximum inline image size of 800x600, and even then we prefer that people link to their images rather than posting them.

Just a heads up.

Don't know if this is any good or not, don't know if it should be higher.

3dmark 06 = 5320

Aquamark v.3 = 102,152

Here's what I'm running:

AMD X2 5400+ 2.8Ghz
M2N SLI Deluxe mobo
2GB G.Skill Ram
EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS

ok fulton, will do in the future. I'm really just posting my benchie to give you guys a good idea what an AMD 4x4 platform does in real life. It's not exactly popular...lol...but I wanted to build something with 2 cpu's and I couldn't grasp the server mobo as a desktop play thing. It dawned on me one day that my favorite chip maker AMD had something just for me....albeit a very niche product teaming up with Asus. I'm having fun with it and that is what it is all about for me.

Any suggestions for a benchie to run and I will do what I can to do it...just for fun if anyone would be interested. Bone stock build fun I figure.

Here is my Cinebench 9.5 benchie. This one was important to me because I like to fiddle with 3D content creation.

My rig - Core 2 Duo E6600, ASUS P5B, 2GB DDR2, 8800 GTS 320 MB

AquaMark 3 - 136,914
GFX - 26,601
CPU - 14,104

SuperPI -
1M = 21s

3DMark - 9,381

(Says something funny - The result you just submitted was not run with default benchmark settings. All of the charts and information provided on these pages are based on benchmark results run with default settings, and thus the shown comparisons are not accurate. To obtain accurate comparisons, please re-run the benchmark with default settings."

Cant work out how to change the settings on the free version. I must be missing something)

Is this good for my system? I really dont know.

I think you need the paid and registered version for that but I'm not sure.
The guys who can answer the question and give you all the recent comparison marks for your rig are here : http://futuremark.yougamers.com/forum/

Is there an edit function for this forum. I missed it.

I just OC'ed to 3.2gHz and the system was stable. Had to loosen the ram timings a bit, but I broke 11k. I will have to load the profile again at home and get you and exact number.

Cool

I managed to OC my Q6600 to 3.114Ghz stable without playing with any voltage settings. I OC'd my X1950Pro 512MB to 621/749 and scored 6106 in 3DMark06.

3DMark06: 6106
CPU: 4848
(Q6600 @ 3,114 X1950Pro 512MB @ 621/749)

3DMark05: 11437
CPU: 12120
(Q6600 @ 3,114 X1950Pro 512MB @ 608/736)

PCMark05: 8499 (Q6600 @ 3,114 X1950 Pro 512MB @ 621/749)

A whopping 3900 or so 3DMarks...and thats for '05. My system is on warranty, and I can't afford a new one quite yet, so I don't plan on overclocking the tar out of it. I do really well in Games though. FEAR runs just about maxed at over 30 frames, so I never know what all the fuss is about with benchmarks.
