Hey, I just installed my new Samsung 1TB hard drive and new 8800GT OC2. The install of everything went very well and smooth (THANK GOD!). I just ran 3DMark05 & 06.
3DMark06= Overall: 13,631 (My old score w/ X1950Pro was 6,106) SM2: 5680 SM3: 5528 CPU: 4728 3DMark05= Overall: 18,028 (My old score w/X1950Pro was 11,437) CPU: 12,592 AquaMark3= Overall: 171,069 GFX: 33,204 CPU: 17,635 I'm confused as to how my 3DMark06 score more than doubled but my 3DMark05 score only went up like 50%. I might have to run it again or something. ALSO, this Samsung 1TB drive is supposed to be the new fastest drive to beat. I ran HDTach on her and... Quick/Short Test= 92 MB/s Reads Slow/Long Test= 94.2 MB/s My 750GB WD GP was reading at 73-74MB/s AWESOME! |

sounds about right. The suped up xp rigs are the ones getting in the 10k's. Less processes running during the tests.

Hey, I somehow have got my Q6600 CPU to run and cooperate with me at 3.33Ghz and just ran Super Pi to 1 Million in 15.735 seconds. I'm not too sure what a good Super Pi score is but I think that's pretty darn good!

Could be, but both her lappy and my desktop CPUs are AMD. A Turion X2 TL-50 and an Athlon X2 4200+.

That sounds really low, as my System gets about 8800 (go figure) stock and a little over 10000 overclocked. AMD X2 Dual Core 5600+ @2851 (equiv. to an E6450) 2 gigs of DDR2-800 CAS-4-4-3-8 2T (1) 8800 GTS 320 MB 637/1032 I do think its possible for you to get that score though... |

You have no pcmark score. It failed because you have your desktop set to classic mode...
Those scores are very good for your stuff. |

Interestingly, ran 3dMaark2006 on my Vista boot with newest eVGA drivers (169.44) and came up with 11776. Will try my XP build with these new drivers and see what I get.

Only managed to run PCmark05 so far.
Got a score of 9046 which is twice the speed of my overclocked 4000+ which was running XP unlike my new build which is Vista premium so I guess its about right. Need to get a new video card if Im going to make a dent on the 3dmarks though. |
