BF2 laggy on water

i played bf2 demo for about a month now and i noticed lag sometimes when im on the ship.
i think it's because of all the waters surrounding the ship.

i really like this game and planning to buy it but before that maybe
i should get 512mb or 1g more ram since BF2 i heard is memory-dependent.
should i get more ram or maybe i should just buy bf2 first and try it out since i heard that the demo version is slower than the retail version

any suggestions?

my system spec- p4 3.2g 1g kingston value ram, 6600gt

I would suggest leaving your RAM state as is, and trying the retail version. If it's still buggy, you might as well buy 1GB of extra RAM, but your system should be able to handle it fine

The demo is nothing compared to the retail version.

A new patch came out as well just recently so make sure you download that.

Also, it is a HUGE resource hog so don't underestimate the settings in the game and think "Well I can run other games on high, I should with this game too".

Once you get your settings done and perfect though, the game is INCREDIABLE. Everyone I know that plays it loves the game. My cousin thought it was dumb how much we liked the game until he came over and played it for himself. Now he owns a copy.
