Hah!...I will have to try that on my dinosaur computer at work. I bet that computer has a worse score than yours.

What are the specs for this system!? I almost wouldn't think something that low would support 3dmark05 (which requires DX 9.0 I think)
Wait, that doesn't seem right, especially with a p4 3.0. What score do you get for the CPU part?

It's the number of bits that it would require to make your number of posts (in binary)
1 post - 1 bit 2 post - 2 bit 4 posts - 3 bit 8 posts - 4 bit 16 posts - 5 bit 32 posts - 6 bit 64 post - 7 bit 128 posts - 8 bit 256 posts - 9 bit 512 posts - 10 bit 1024 post - 11 bit and so on... |

I dont think it is possible to get 260, that is like at a constant 2 fps for each little film. Run it again with all unnecessary back groud apps not running.

that sounds about right. I remember integrated scoring around 100-400 in some reviews. besides a FX5200 has crippled DX9 at best

I just ran it..........2132pcmarks
Now thats on my "comunity" pc specs are: Biostar M7-Vit pro Athlon xp-2400 266fsb stock 1gig Corsair XMS utt-bh-5 2-2-2-5 Ata133 60gig h/d and BFG Asylum 5200 ultra stock 42proccess running.... The video card is really good this cards looks as good gaming as my 5700u in my sig....I had a regular 5200 and it stunk.... I would run it again and check your proccesses like said ...If you continue to get low scores then there is a problem....I have DX9.0c and the vid drivers are 66.xx series Last edited by MaxRat; 10-11-2005 at 09:44 PM. |

There's a dedicated benchmark sticky thread below that you may want to post your benchmarks to (It's under Gaming and Benchmarking):

3Dmark05 won't even run on a video card that doesn't have DX 9 hardware support. It laughs at my GF4 Ti4400 which only has hardware DX 8.1 support. A FX5200 may have crippled support, but it DOES have the required support. Just goes to prove how bad that card really is - it's not suitable for gaming, only general office and casual use. Your computer does not suck - just the video card. A 3.0 P4 and 1.5gb ram will run any game out there very well as long as you have a proper video card. I have a customer with a 2.53 P4 with 1gb ram who runs EQ2 very nicely - ya think his 6800GT might have something to do with that?

I am not really sure what the difference is between the 5200 and the 5200ultra I have installed in the pc I have listed but.... there is a big difference...plus it will overclock very nicely....
I had Everquest installed on the same pc with all 6 of the expansion packs at that time and it ran flawlessly with good settings.... I am sure if you had a different card that would help but...still don't explain the really low score.... I'll run it on my sig pc later and see what I get.... Oh yea...the visual test on pcmark05 are pretty awesome there seems to be alot of detail....I thought so anyhow... |

I just checked the minimum requirements to run 3DMark05 and they require a 2 ghz COU ( I assume Intel) to run the benchmark. My work computer (the older one) is a 350mhz P2. Maybe if I overclock it some I can get it up to 2ghz?
...LOL

That sounds about right. I get 2461 on my old Dell 4600, which has a 2.66 gh CPU, 1 gig of ram Corsair VS, and a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro using Cat 5.9 drivers.
