Call of Duty 2
I'm impressed with this game, it seems so realistic and is fun to play. What I like is that your just a single person playing and your part a regiment trying to achieve a goal. I haven't notice any life meter (although there could be one but the action is to fast for me to notice any) like there are with other games, plus there are no "Life" packs like other games have, which to me makes it more realistic. I find it kind of stupid.....I'm a hundred percent better now and can continue on when I find a life pack. Another neat thing is playing a Russain soldier. The only thing that I would like to have seen is the ability to play as a German Soldier, not to try to overturn the real outcome, but rather to see if I could just survive until the end of the war or capture during a great battle.

Strider, I know this is off topic, but how does your new pc run? I was looking into buying an x2 4400+.
Oh yea, and I'm hoping to get COD2 soon; I love COD's multiplayer.

they wrecked the health system in cod2, all you have to do is run and hide and you health comes back.

I would rather have a health bar... if I got 10% left then I going to run into the open and try to get a kill or two before dieing and respawning.

It's running fine and I getting a pretty good now that I installed an airflow fan on my CM Stacker case. It had more to do with the motherboard (Asus A8N-SLI) than the CPU. Myself I seem to play better with no health bar, it makes me more aggressive and when I see that I'm hurt fall back and take cover to recuperate. The other way to me seem stupid, trying to find a health pack just to get better real quick. |

Excellent game , and quite novel , with the no life bar, makes it more fun to have to go and hide to get your health back. Multiplayer rocks too.

Yep, top sequel, I just miss the sprint. The weapons seem much meatier and the Garand is superb.
Multiplayer seems tighter and in reality, especially against good players, the health system doesn't matter. A couple of shots and your dead anyway. When somebody is in your sights they rarely get the chance to run around a corner and replenish their health as the aiming and hit registration is so spot on that they are usually full of lead before they can move. Not saying it's easy, but COD 2 is a breath of fresh air for accuracy after struggling with the hit reg on CSS for a year. Like the Tunisia (I think but it has snow!?) map with all the trenches. A Karsk for long shots and shotty for trench warfare is a great arsenal! (though shotty can get a bit much on tight maps with indoor sections). So in short, COD2, especially MP has got my vote. |

The whole "anti-healthpack"system reminds me of a PS2 game."The Getaway"but then I liked this game system in COD2 and not the getaway.

I love it. Lots of improvements over COD1, namely from weapon replication accuracy. I'm not big on the health, but I mainly try to play on realism servers so the point is mute. I finally got through the game at the top level on Sunday, but not without more than a few "retrys".

If you play multiplayer primarily in COD1, reconsider getting this game because it is basically the same thing with a facelift. If you don't mind spending $50 for the campaign though, go ahead. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't really anything new in multiplayer after hearing earlier in the year that the developers had some interesting things planned. I'm thinking either publisher pressure or time constraints forced them to leave out a few goodies...
