BF2 Load Problems

Right now I only have the demo version of BF2, but I hope to get the retail version soon. My problem is: Whenever I open BF2 it keeps minimizing and when it trys to connect to the server, it closes. The second attempt usually works and I can play fine. Once I am in the game, it works fine. I was thinking this was due to a lack of memory. What do you think? Stats are in the sig.

Thanks!

Are you running F@H? Make sure you disable any uncessary apps running the background (like F@H, instant messangers, etc) Any of these could cause the game to minimize.

And make sure your firewall allows it to access... I had that issues along with an issues with F@H that caused minimizing and closing of BF 2

Closing F@H made it load fine, thanks! Is there any way I can get F@H to run while playing games? Like using the console mode or something.

I think the text based version is less sustible to application interferences - but I am not 100% positive.

I believe that is correct. The graphical version uses OpenGL I think, which would interfere with anything running a 3d application. You could just turn F@H off because you really aren't going to get much done while gaming.

Yep F@H was causing WoW to minimize when ever I started it up. I switched F@H to text and have had no problems.
