Ouch for everyone involved... that's definitely not cool for those wanting to buy a 360, as well as those trying to sell them

Okay, so Dreamfall was delayed till spring.
Hey, I understand these things.
Besides, I'd have more time for Oblivion.
Now this.
I'm too old to sit and sulk (So no matter what it looks like that's not what I'm doing.).

NOOOOO! And that was actually a game I was thinking preordering and everything - the delay better be a sign that they are crafting a better version.

There is still no word from Bethesda (I actually brave the forums over there on occassion to see if there is any news). Take 2 is the co-publisher. Bethesda still has a large say in not only the development, but the publishing side as well.

I hope Take 2 jumped the gun a little considerring most of the interviews of late quote Pete Hines saying the game was finishing up testing and optimization and that they were shooting for the 360 launch with both platforms shipping simultaneously. I can't imagine what would delay the game (if it were indeed in these stages) by this long, as Take 2 is saying. If so, they must be adding additional material to warrant such a delay.

Either way, I suppose we can expect a more polished game in the long run. The additional wait is rather annoying, but I am still looking forward to this next installment.

While I'm not really interested in Oblivion (don't like RPG's) I'd say the need to delay a game is a good thing (usually). Half Life 2 was such an amazing game because they took all the time they needed to make it as perfect as possible! In case you haven't noticed, there was what, one patch for HL2 fixing a few minor bugs?

I wish ALL companies would do that! I don't care if it takes 7 years. I want a fantastic game that isn't full of bugs! Most games need 2, 3, 4, or more patches before they are really enjoyable. Lately EA has been a prime example of what happens when game developement is rushed. Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, which I was really looking forward too, was obviously rushed for a deadline and turned out horrible.

Yeah, it's annoying when games are delayed but usually it is for the better.

I am in agreeance with Hi Ho...It is much worse to release a game that is not ready only to frustrate the hell out of everyone versus taking the time to get the game right and then releasing it. Too often lately manufacturers have released games too early because of financial pressure to do so.

Stuff happens.
