low 3dmark03,05 score

hi i just tested my video card- 6600gt with 3dmark03 and 3dmark05. the result was suprisingly low. 3dmark03- 6070, 3dmark05- 1761.

why is my video card's score so low? maybe because i have inadequate powersupply? overheating videocard?

i currently have 71.25 driver by the way(i know i should update it but for somereason any updated version since 71.25 crashes/freezes when playing vid/mov files).

Turn off all background apps that you don't need to run, and turn AA and AF off. Then, try it again.

Check your voltages during the test.

Well I see that your core clock is at 299.250MHZ that's not right. It should be 500MHZ. Those scores look like a non GT card scores which are clocked at 300MHZ. I wonder if that card is running 2D mode in 3D apps. ? My scores are 9100+ in 03' and 3500+ in 05'. And your CPU is much stronger than mine so your scores should be higher than mine.

Hi there dunno if you have sorted this out yet but heres whats wrong.

It has nothing to do with his core clock.

A 6600GT runs a 2d Core of 300Mhz.

The reason the score is low is due to your AGP Acceleration being disabled. Basically the card is running in PCI mode = Not good at all.

You already have Rivatuner so heres what to do
Run rivatuner, click the top customize button and select the first icon, This puts you into Low Level System Settings,
Change the AGP rate to either 4x or 8x, depending on what you can select.

Reboot the pc.

Now once rebooted run dxdiag ( start>> run>> dxdiag then ok it )

Open the Display Tab and check that AGP Texture Acceleration is enabled.

Go back into rivatuner, and check the diagnostic info like you posted earlier. If it is still at agp disabled, then you might need to update the mainboard chipset drivers, Especially the AGPgart driver.

But if it tells you that agp status is enable and then it will tell you the transfer rate is either 4x or 8x.

You may also want to check the mainboard bios to make sure AGP is set to 8x

Hope this helps, if you have already fixed this then disregard all this.
