Star Wars Battlefront II (how is it?)

Anyone have it yet? I'ld like to know how the single player is. As good as Unreal 2004?

very enjoyable, i havent sat down and played it, tho i did get to sample it on my friends comp, graphics are decently nice, and if ur used to battlefront 1 then its not too different. i like the starships. but i havent spent enough time to give a full review. getting it sometime next week tho.

Well I love this game so far. It takes some getting used to flying the starfighters, but the game is pretty sweet. I can't wait to fight as vadar! Yoda was pretty fun thats for sure.

I'm thinking about picking it up, I'm an avid star wars fan.

I haven't played BFI though, is it necessary in to understand the story in BFII?

The graphics look nice - thats for sure.

I bought is a couple of days ago, and i tell you it is fantastic. The space battles are perfect, and the game has been totatly redesigned in an interface way. Yoda is sooo much fun, its unbelievable. Only prob though, is that if you want to run from a backup, you cant, I hate securom

Is it kind of like the game you would play if you didn't have either of the battlefield 1942 / BF2 games? I heard that comparison made somewhere - it was the "battlefield experience" for console players.

I really loved Battle Front for PS2 - I should be getting it the next time I go to the mall - If it isn't too pricey.

A huge improvement over Battlefront 1.

Ok question. How do you save in the middle of a game? BTW: VADAR IS AWESOME!

That's simply a matter of preference.

I would choose Battlefront 2 over Battlefield 2 for the PC anyday.

clones with jetpacks, droideka's, yoda, Jango Fett, Darth Vader, etc all in multiplayer. It has ragdoll physics and sometimes I go flying in the air after a gernade lands by me only to land again on a mine or another gernade and go flying in some other direction (I can never stop laughing every time that happens ). more games need ragdoll physics.

Even though I'm not that good yet; I find it to be tons of fun. Not to mention the online experiance is probably the most friendliest I have run into so far. The battles are usually hectic and completely fast paced which, perhaps, leaves no time for heckling and most of the time the teams are left on auto-assign, so not neccessarily clan vs clan or even clan vs noobs. So there will be clan members fighting each other, even if there are less than 4 clan members in a rotation (typically the games I join have about 20-31 players in them). And then when it moves on to the next map in the rotation, the teams are mixed up again. There are pretty much a significant amount of noobs on every team still at this stage.

I haven't played the single player scenario. Exclusively multi-player here.

There are some problems yes. I specifically dislike those who think it's funny to damage their teams own defend points in space battle. Other than that; it's two thumbs up from me.

The game options are a significant improvement over Battlefront 1. Jedi matches, Jawas v. Tusken Raiders, etc.

Also, Darth Vader (in the mask) is a complete badass!
