GW expansion pack?
I loved playing Guild Wars, and now get on every once and a while after I beat the game. I was once in a HoH team with a friend of one of the game's developers and via teamspeak he was telling us (as we pawned all, lol ) about a future expansion pack enabling a much larger map, new races, and increase the maximum skill and combat levels. I haven't heard anything more since, do you know if this is going to actually happen? if so when?
EDIT - looks like i found something similar - is This what you think he might have been talking about? Doesn't seem to fancy. TIA, ryan124712

I posted this a while ago, I haven't heard anything more myself, but I haven't played the game since the time I started the thread... anyone know anything about it?

Just loaded up GW last night after ages of not playing ... took quite a while to download all the latest & greatest patch stuff. Seems like they add to the game constantly.
I've also 'heard' about new races & areas, and just like WoW raising the max. level, but it's just hearsay. I'll definitely get the expansion when it comes out. Just read online that WoW has 3.5 million paying subscribers, holy cow! I bet ArenaNet is kicking themselves now lol |

Yes and no, I am willing to add you to it if interested, but I wont be back playing until a few weeks before an expansion, and then after I max out to the highest I can get again after expansion, if you want to get more serious about the game I would suggest joining an active full time guild which battles.... That is just my two cents, if there was enough interest in a PCMech guild (like 20 members) I would play more.

So I take it that the PCMech Guild didn't work out eh?
 I was in a Guild, but found out last night that I was dropped due to inactivity. I'm sure that happens a lot lol Same experience as you: I got up to lvl20, then got bored. Now that Civ4 has come out, it is sucking all the life outta me. I have little time to spare ... but GW is a nice game. WoW looks even better, but I refuse to pay a monthly fee ... |

Yeah, there was enough enthusiam, but not enough participation (that could be nice way of saying - not enough people interested)... I too refuse to pay monthly, I have the money, but for that fee every two months I could get a new game, and I would rather have more options than limit myself to WoW becuase I have to pay to play it; plus I am a busy guy I have stuff to do and when I get down to game I might only have 2 hours one week or 20 hours the next.
