PS/2 Vs USB?

I was thinking about getting the Zboard keyboard and see you can wither order the USB or PS/2 connection version?

Whats the difference besides different connections?

Also what exactly is the PS/2 connection and how does it look so I know if I have it?

Every motherboard will have a PS/2 port for the keyboard it was introduced way back with the original release of ATX form motherboards. They look like a small circle on the back panel of the motherboard like this. In general if you can connect to the PS/2, then do it. There is less chance of USB driver conflicts and connecting to the PS/2 will free up a USB port.

The PS/2 version of the Zboard is out of stock for a while now ..... it seem that it will soon be discontinued. I looked everywhere can't find it ...Even on the Zboard.com website.

The USB version can act like a HUB too .. it have two more USB port on the keyboard.

I have a PS/2 KVM switch to use with two computers. My mouse is USB , so i have used a USB to PS/2 Adapter. I will have my own USB Zboard tomorrow ill try to do the same with an PS/2 adapter on it ... we will see if it work

i'd get the ps/2 one, but if you do not have front USB ports then the USB hub would be handy
