AOE graphics and performance problems
I've noticed that when I play AOE, occassionally, the graphics freek out to where the colors look inverted. Minimize then maximize returns it back to normal. It also freezes up for a couple of seconds periodically during the game.
Right now, I'm playing it on a PIII 500, 256M RAM, Hercules GForce II DDR 32M. I don't want to believe that it's anything to do with the machine, because I've experienced this on other machines under different OS's too. I was actually hoping that this better machine would solve the problem(s) with this game. I don't really play any other games on it, so I don't have a lot to compare to.
Any ideas? Is this common with AOL?
