Problem with AOEII

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for the post, sry.

Does anyone play AOE2 here?

The problem is:
-SOMETIMES I can't join games on the Zone, because the game can't connect to some players and it says 'Unable to join the game'. Sometimes that happens all the time, sometimes everything is ok.
-If I join a game via IP, those who join it after me sometimes have the wrong ping '30' to me and I can't see their nicknames. That means I have to re-join, and if I am the last to join everything's ok

1)I don't have any routers
2)I removed my firewall
3)my internet provider says other users don't have problems like this

so what could be the reason?

I have no idea... you COULD try reinstalling the game but it may not help. Seems like a weird networking issue. Sorry I can't be of much help. AOE2 was a great game though. I played that a long time ago.

My saving is that I can play via IP with my russian-speaking mates from Pyc_clan every evening.

But it isn't enough for my game level's development, of course.

Your provider seems to have the same kind of desease as mine... Did you try to contact them? Mine says it isnt their problem most undoubtedly it is... Cause I've heard that many guyz on Zone have this problem and they all blame their ISPs.

My favorite game! I can't bear seeing it fade into the sunset as AOE III hogs the spotlight. But I have the same problems . . .
