dos games

i have recently found a game i used to play all the time on my old computer but since i now have xp it doesnt work i have downloaded DOSbox which apperantly can run DOS games but i havent figured out how to work it

the game is tankarena http://www.three14.demon.nl/tank/

i have DOSbox .63

please help

It says on the website that it will run on Windows 95-2000. Do you get an error when you run it? If so, what does it say?

I can run the original Lemmings in XP without problems.

title: 16 bit windows subsystem

C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitible for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose 'close' to terminate the application

this is the error when i try to run it with out dosbox keep in mind that i dont know how to run the game if possible with dosbox

Did you try setting the Capatibility to Win 95 in the Properties sheet?

DOSBox requires you to mount directories as drives (i.e. c:\dosgames\tankarena mount to DOSBox's C drive). Also you will need to mount your CD drives as DOSBox drives. This way the emulator will have a filesystem to work with. It works fine with XP, I've used it in the past.
