getting a new card which is better running a amd gig 256meg ram and have always used ati cards but wonder if geforce is better

Radeon for excellent graphics and good framerates, GeForce for good graphics and excellent framerates. Personally, I think it's worth the minor loss in framerates for the picture quality of the Radeon.

Looks like the graphics processor business has weeded everyone out but ATI and Nvidia - with Matrox at the back of the pack. I can see the Nvidia/ATI war escalate to like the Intel/AMD war - with Cyrix still out there somewhere.....
My opinion? If ALL you do is game, go Nvidia - if you do anything else that's graphically intensive like photo editing or CAD, I think you would be happier with the ATI video quality. |
