first off.. you should link to the pictures, dont post them inline. First off, have you downloaded all the appropriate patches and drivers?

I'm new here, so I don't really know, but is it not kosher to post an image in threads?

The suggestion to use links is most appropriate. We need to keep these forums dial up friendly. I'm removing the images and you can repost them as links from an image host.

You might want to check to see if the fan on that card is still working. I remember hearing some other problems with the fan dieing on that particular card.

You said you updated your video card drivers, that would've been my first guess, but what version of DirectX are you running? That one picture you linked to with the error in it said something about DX8....if you're not running DirectX version 9.0c, I'd try updating that too.

Both those games require DX9.0. There should be a DirectX setup somewhere on the game CD.

If you can't find it on the CD, you can download DX9.0c directly from Microsoft HERE. If you do find it on the CD though, and it isn't the 9.0c version, you might want to download the c version from them anyway, because I seem to recall some problems with the original DX9.0 version when used with various Valve games, and the 9.0c version was supposed to clear those initial problems up.
