CRASH How to make A CSS map

I have been trying to slowly regain my lost CS skills on Source. (Not going so good) And I was wanting to make a CSS map of my own. But I have no Idea of how to do this. Is there a program I can buy/download? What do I need to make a map? I have the PC, thats just about it though.
HELP!!
Thx

There's a map tool in steam you just have to download. I've done a couple maps in the past with it (neither of them fully completed, unfortunately..they take a up a lot of time). It's fairly easy to use if you had experience with any map editor tools in the past.

A mate used the one that came with Steam... gives you a good appreciation for how much work goes into it, especially when making stairs

Yeah, it certainly is time consuming.

I tried. I really did. Bu tI just can't do it. I somehow managed to make a square area to run around in and then added crates and walls to make it sort
of like a paintball arena. I can't even tell you how I did that. It is incredibly difficult. Many thanks for the link, and many thanks to programers that create maps so I don't have to.

Don't get discouraged, DR. You probably would have considered my first attempt quite laughable...I somehow created a simple box as a room and the player spawned outside if it. So...when I tried testing it, I (the player) just fell for infinity.

If you google a little bit, you are sure to find some tutorials. However, you are more likely to come across intermediate and advanced guides where assumptions are made, so don't get discouraged.
