Need help Cheat Coding in 007

Hi,

I need some help Cheat Coding in 007 Nightfire.
Ive found out what you have to do but ive tried doing all it says on the link below but no succes.

i think im not doing it right so can someone please explain whats on the link a little bit easier for a newbie

Do this:

Alternately, start the game with the "\ea games\nightfire\bond.exe" +console 1 command line. Begin game play, then press ~ to display the console window. Type sv_cheats 1 and press [Enter] at the console window to enable cheat mode. Then, enter one of the following case-sensitive codes and press [Enter] to activate the corresponding cheat function.

That is the problem when i press ~ no console window appears

Did you add the proper line to the shortcut? and start via the shortcut?

EDIT: I'm installing the game now, I'll see if I can get it to work

OK, all I did was add +console 1 to the shortcut, and now I can access the console.

Okay but im not sure what shortcut i should add the it to
I know i seem a little dumb but ive never done anything like this before.
Can you post screenshots of what i have to do?

right click on the game icon.
click properties
the line that says "target" at the end of the quotation marks add +console 1
hit apply and ok.
relaunch game using the shortcut.....done

Right, you have to use the icon on your desktop (and not the auto-run screen that appears when you pop in the CD).

Thats exactly what i have been trying to do but i get a Problem with shortcut message if you look on the link ive provided you can see what i get.

What you need to do is to leave a space between the path and the switch. To make it easy for you, simply copy and paste the following into the Target box in your shortcut:
"c:\Program Files\EA Games\Nightfire\Bond.exe" +console 1

Include the quotes in the first part of the command.

Hey thanks for that line above i replaced it.

Although no cheat box pops up in the game when i press ~ so is there a problem or something?

No i didnt,What does the console look like anyway?
Im just slightly a bit confused here

You should get a box over half the screen that has text in it, and a place to enter commands.

If you've got C:\Program Files\EA Games\Nightfire\Bond.exe +console 1 in your target line in the shortcut properties, double click the icon, load up your game and press the ~ button you should get the console (after the level has been loaded).

Then you type in sv_cheats 1 and you should be able to use cheats. You might have to restart the game after you type that in. You can always type in sv_cheats alone and it should tell you if it's 1 or 0 (on or off).
