Arrghhh! Why does BF2 lose connection?

its alwsy in the middle of something tha ti love connection to BF2. it always happens at leat a few times aday. i dont kn ow if that is normal or not but is there a way to prevent this? i am running cable tha tis split at max between two computers, including my sig rig, and an Xbox Live! enabled console. i am also wondering why stats arent recorded even after multiple completed games because when i am disconencted these stats are NOT recorded. i just won two matches as a commander and NONE of it was recorded. that happens to me quite frequently, im not sure why it does it but i am pretty confident its down to ping time, if your ping time spikes to a certain level then the server may disconnect you for no reason, it happened to me in UT2k4 but UT would tell you why i like to play BF too but i cant play it online because within 5 minutes of playing i get disconnected. unfortunately i dont know of any way to combat this either other than just make sure that nothing else is set to use the internet, firewall software or antivirus software could be looking for updates at that time, and if they download anything then your ping may go up meaning you get disconnected, just out of curiosity how fast is your internet?
