There are a few out there though non of them will actually let you play a game. PCSX2 is probably the most complete one around and it may be the ONLY one still in developement.
You can check out the links below for more information. http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/ps2/ http://www.pcsx2.net/ Just a side note. Yes the PS2 emulators are NOT fully functional but there are several PSOne, SNES, Nintendo, N64, Sega Genisis, etc. emulators out there that do work VERY well. The first link I posted is a pretty good site for information on anything emulation related though there might be better ones out there if you google for a bit.

tho if you dont own it. its piracy and is illegal. and ps2... well the problem is having it run on a core that runs at different.. er wahts the word. its like how windows progs dont run on macs, but the new ones with intel will becuase of the cpu architeture is similar or something lol

That's why it's called an EMULATOR. The CPU EMULATES or ACTS like the PS2 CPU. The biggest problem with emulation for systems such as PS2, XBOX, Game Cube, etc. is that the emulation process requires a very STRONGE computer, and I don't mean just the processor. The older systems like Nintendo (NES), Sega Genisis, SNES, etc. don't require a beefy system and the emulators for such systems are almost if not 100% accurate. |
