Half Life 2 - Definetly one of my all time favorites. Absolutely beautiful with some of the best FPS gameplay I have experienced
Age of Empires III - very immersive strategy game Far Cry - beautiful game with great gameplay Call of Duty - excellent all around Call of Duty: United Offensive - COD expansion that is well worth it Call of Duty 2 - only played the demo, but it was very good Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - old but very good single player as well as fun, plain old deathmatch multiplayer Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising - massive multiplayer games (100+ people) with opportunities for some real team work and strategy Roller Coaster Tycoon - definetly not a showcase graphics wise but very, very addicting Splinter Cell 1, 2, and 3 - All three are supurb stealth action games Rise of Nations - A twist on AOE, very addicting Age of Mythology - AOE on steroids with a mythical touch Doom III - excellent graphics with classic shoot-em-up gameplay, some like it, some don't F.E.A.R. - only played the demo but it's on my to-buy list. It is very immersive. Most of these games have demos that you can download to try them out before buying. Is the system in your signature the one you will play the games on? That Radeon 9250 isn't much of a powerhouse.

Having just played it, I'd like to add Halo to the list(s) above.
Some nice older games are the original Half Life (and HL Blue Shift), Undying, System Shock 2, and NOLF 2. |

Don't forget Opposing Force, TR. It's awesome. Blue Shift is cool but too short. Still, for a fabulous time all the original HL games should be played, and in the order of HL>OF>BS.
Forizzle, you should be able to grab both Max Payne games jolly cheap by now. Mafia is another very good one. These games shew that a game doesn't have to be first person view in order to be a blast. |

yea I really did enjoy the original half life games. i still have them and have then installed on this computer, sometimes playing them again. i was kinda dissapointed when i beat Blue Shift, that is was very short. I was expecting a lot more to it. The original Half-life can never be beat IMO. That will always be one of the best FPS games in the history of gaming. For the time that it was created (1998), it has to be the best ever.

I bought the Silver package through Steam which included all of the old Half Life games. My plan was to play through the old ones first but I got hooked on HL2 and it's beautiful graphics and physics. Now it's hard to look past the old look of the original Half Life (even HL: Source) isn't too impressive. Someday I'll play through them though.

Hi another good game ( kept me online gaming for 4 years ) is ghost recon .
The online action has died down due to an infestation of cheat's but its still a fantastic single player game with about a million diffrent mods maps and wep's that you can add to it . It will be very cheap now allso . A new version is about to go on sale so by the time you have done a few missions you will be ready to hook up with the new version ![]() www.ghostrecon.com < main site www.theplatoon.com < millions of mods site http://www.ghostrecon.com/uk/ghostrecon3/seemore_pc.php < screen shots of new version Happy killing : ) |
