Gaming Issue
I havent played a game on my computer for a couple of months. Recently i tried playing fifa 06 and brian lara cricket. when the game gets going it freezes and the whole computer is frozen. The only way i can get my comp to work again is to reset it.
I have a radeon 9800 pro, ASUS P4C800 Delux-E, WD 250GB, Soundblaster Live 24-bit sound card, x2 512mb Ram. i have updated all the drivers, i think maybe i need to update my bios, is this the case? how do i do that? |

What are your temperatures? Power down the computer and take a peek inside. Do you see dust build up on the heatsink (look into the "fins") or around the fans (including the case fans and intakes)? If so, you'll need to clean all that out. Assuming this computer ran games fine a couple months ago, it sure sounds like dust built up on you.
Also what wattage and brand power supply? Updating BIOS won't do a thing in this case.
