Backing up Diablo 2
I tried to back up my copy of Diablo 2 onto another CD, but every time I use that other CD, I cannot play the game. I don't play online, so I have no problem with a lost cd key.
Is there a utility that will allow me to make a working back up? Also, is there a Utility that will allow me to play the game withour having to inset the disc again every time? |

A "no-cd" hack probably exisits, but I don't know where. There are programs you can buy to copy CD images ("image" meaning the entire data on the CD) but I don't think they're worth it. Do you really need a backup? CD's are durable enough if you take care of them (even if they appear scratched, the plastic layer usually protects the data). I've never had problems with my game CD's, even with a lot of use.

Alcohol 120% can make an image of the CD, and doesn't cost much. I think the trial version does it just fine too. I wish I'd backed mine up, because one of the CDs developed a crack and it spread from the inside out with use, and the CD is now a coaster.

Alcohol or CloneCD will do the trick.

Game Copy World doesn't have a No-CD for Diablo2 and that's the only site I'd trust.
