Far Cry Engine 2.0

New preview on ign featuring the updated engine. Looks like some decent updates.

WOW! Those are more than "decent" updates. Those are major updates and they look amazing! If all of those improvements actually make it into a game (Far Cry 2?) I will most definetely buy it. I may need a new system first though.

Is there something wrong with the bottom edge of the video or is that just me? It looks block-ish-like. Anyway, the improvements look amazing. Though FarCry bored me after a long time of playing and I haven't ever fully finished, I would invest in a FarCry two if they release one.

Still works for me.

I wonder if it a sequel will still be on an island. I'd like to see the engine show off some other different terrain or landscapes.

Hahaha, well it did seem to play everything under the sun but this 6600GT also seems to and everything is prettier (hardware DX9 support). I can only guess that things would look even better and run smoother on a 7800 GTX with an Athlon64.
