EQ2 anyone?

After playing WoW pretty heavily for the past 6 months, I finally quit. I'm thinking of moving on to EQ2 now. Does anyone here play? What can you tell me about the game? How does is compare to other MMORPGs? Graphics? Sound? Gameplay? Community? Economy?

Anything I should know before starting the game? Any info at all would be appreciated.

Well I used to play EQ, I quit. when EQ2 came out, I tried it for about 2 months. I quit. I didn't like it myself.

I now play wow. 60 paladin, playing end game instances.

I was playing on Boulderfist. Same thing, 60 pally doing end game stuff. I used to love the game, but I realized for the last month or so I was only playing out of habit and it wasn't fun anymore. It will definitely suck you in. I figure I'll go back in a couple of months, just need a break for now.

I ended up trying the trial version of EQ2, and I didn't like it at all. The graphics, sounds, controls, "feel", interface, none of it. I'm just gonna lay off MMOs for a while.

For many a pally can be a boring class.

myself I spect. my pally almost all Holy and I am a main healer on raids, topping the heal meters, normally above priests and druids.

Why would I want to be holy spected and suck so much at PVP and PVE.

Well, i was ret. while leveling which was great as i solo'ed allot.

Once i hit 60, and I had crappy gear I had to start gearing up and going on the raids.

So I found what my guild needed and that was a Holy pally, after the 1.9.

I am the only Holy pally in the guild, which gets me a spot in 99 percent of the raids when I am online.

Which means I am gearing up, in the past month, I went from crap to people inspecting me to see what I have.

BTW, Dark Iron is the server I play on.

give it a few more weeks and the AQ's will be opening up on the servers, new places to explore.

When you hit 60 you have to be specd a certan way or it wont work in end raids , ask any Shadow Priest or Fury specd warriors or feral druids.

this game is still very interesting to me because of the high end content that keeps coming out and the mass of raiding friends I have .

I played EQ2 for a month and what I concluded is that… it not my kind of game in term of MMO quality. Graphic - is mediocre type… cannot compare to Final Fantasy XI (which I am drawing into right now after quitting WoW). Storyline – is there one? Maybe I didn’t play far enough to really get to experience a good one. PVP – I think WoW does a better job than EQ2…at least in WoW, you don’t get kill when you leave your hometown trying to exp, which can be very annoying in EQ2. I enjoy the raid in WoW very much. Well these are just my opinions on the game, you don’t have to base on my opinions, whether you should play the game or not. If you want something new, give it a try. Though I felt like I wasted money on buying EQ2, thinking that it can be a good MMO at the time.

At the moment, I am playing FFXI and WoW (not so much on WoW anymore). If you guys want to discuss about WoW/FFXI send me a pm, don’t want to hijack this thread.

Haha, damn Pro. You really decked your lock out nice there. GJ man. Maybe I would have had a chance to gear some nice gear on my pally if there weren't already 547501287501487510457 of us on every server.
