Doom 3 Flickering
I've noticed recently that rooms lighted by certain types of bright lighting, from a single point, make the room flicker. I don't remember anything like this before and it doesn't look normal. Anyone know what could be goin on?

Ah, it happens to me too. If you look at the white light right? It sort of flickers between when you run about. I don't know what causes it, I just played the game. o_O So... maybe someone could explain it, but I had that problem too...
also it might be the problem with the monitor? Might be. |

Have you used the X-FI Doom3 patch? That might have something to do with it if you didn't experience them before, and you do now.

Hmm I think I remember loading the doom 3 x-fi patch as soon as I installed it, and I didn't have any problems then... of course I don't see it in the add/remove programs list so maybe I didn't.
A screen doesn't really capture this sort of problem. :\ I was also thinking that it could be a problem with the monitor. This one's pretty old, maybe 5-7 years. |
