Wink vampire the masquerade skins

I still feel like a newbie. Downloaded skinsgalore for my vampire the masquerade redemption the other night. I extracted them to vampire directory, but I don't have access to them during the game. What can I do to get them to work? The skins that come with the game are not that good, and I have friends who want me to host a lan game soon. I don't want them to have to choose from the measly skins that the game comes with: and, I don't want to end the sentence with a preposition.

It didn't come with instructions. It sounded great at the time and it came with high ratings. It seems to be a rar file; what type of file is that?

Thanks, BTW. I have been roleplaying for many years. Normally, I am the gamemaster/dungeon master/moderate/story-teller for whatever game my friends play, and werewolf by white wolf is one of them. One night, I was on a trash talking kick and the name just rolled off my tongue. I decided that I liked it and began using it as my handle on the net. I can be reached at both yahoo and aol by that nickname. werewolfdaddy@aol.com , etc.

Not sure what the Rar file is,but if you want to have a look through your
game directory, and happen across a Rar file, try "backing" it up and replacing
it with the new one,I dont say it will work but if you are like me It,s a
great way to learn.Sorry I could,nt be of more help.

Thumbs up

Not a problem. I tried that and didn't find a single rar file on the directory. I may have to go to the masquerade site and see if they have any info on mods.

A RAR file is a compressed file, like a ZIP file. You need to use Winrar to uncompress and extract it, Winzip doesn't support RAR. I would bet that there's a readme inside the RAR archive, so unRAR it to an empty folder first and see what you have.

Wink

I did just that. I thought I remembered a friend had given me a disk with something about rar on it. I opened it up and there it was rar compression softare staring me in the face. I was so happy: . Anyway, you are right. I did just that moments ago and I now have access to the skins; although, they are not very good. I expected better, but what do you expect for free.
