splat lagging

okay now i have posted a thread b4 but it has realli given me neccesary info on y i cant lagging in bf2. i mean i no what to do to improvement and havent seen much of it. so i pretty much having most of the settings to medium expect for dynamic shadow and lighting and 2x aa. i mean i sen people who play this game well with just 1gb of ram and cards that are a bit weaker than mine. yet they play at a good fps of sumtimes 40 to 60. i mean should i clock down my card futher more to get performance or what? or it have to do with my weak 12 pipeline thing

heres a idea that might speed up ur comp play..
its important to remember to defrag ur comp, whether its a full defrag or fast one. but a very gooidea is at least once a week do a fast one , but once a month defrag ur full comp system completel. the purpose of this is online game or gaming in particular does a lot to ur system, this is noticed but the slowdown of ur comp. over time u will find it becoming very slow, thinking the reasons may be ur cpu, memmory ect...it not only slows it down but is very hard on ur comps video/cpu . also u can clean out ur cache's ...All of them.. u can find the hinden areas of caches by going to yahoo and do a serach about caches...one other thing get a Pc machanic or soem kind of system clean/fix/registryfix..ect...like System Machanic5.0 and use this. it has several option that can be used to speed up/clean and repair ur system
I find it helpfull to do these system clean-up and fixes weekly, as i play a online game at a regular basis...

G/L

Drop the "speak" and the rest of us might know what you're talking about.
As far as I can tell you have the specs to play the game well ( You don't have to overclock anything.) but you're not getting the performance you should?
You don't need to underclock a video card for that but something's going on in your registry.

Try turning off the shadow and lighting details and 2x AA to see if that has any effect.

Also, BF2 runs best with 2GB of ram.

Are you running the latest patch (1.2)? There's a known lag issue with that patch.

try a boot this way:
start--RUN--type in "msconfig" (no quotes). hit OK--tic the radio button "Selective Startup"--UN tic "process SYSTEM.INI File"-- UN tic "Process WIN.INI File". Some ppl sat top UN tic the startup items, but if you are playing online, you want your AV working. So I suggest you go into the startup items (theres a TAB at top rght) and un check any programs that you don't need running. It will not hurt any programs, they just won't start up when you start the PC is all.
This should help. Also shut off the music if you can.
good luck
