From that list, COD: UO. I have been playing it a lot lately. Base Assault in multiplayer is very addicting!

Halo PC is good. I don't like FPS games on consoles. CS: Source is a very good game but I'm not very good at playing it.

Others that are not on that list include Half Life 2 (my #1 favorite), Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Joint Operations, and Far Cry.

There are a lot of good shooters on that list. It's almost a tie between BF1942, BF2, and COD2; but, BF2 comes out on top for me. I hope to check out SWBFII soon.

Wow. I haven't played any of those yet. Maybe I should crawl out of my FPS proof cave.

I would have to say The original Jedi Knight(Dark Forces 2). Man, the first time I weilded a Lightsaber...
Either that or the first Unreal. The opening level was so atmospheric and it looked unbelievable on my 16MB voodoo3 card.
FarCry is the best recent FPS I've played.

EDIT: Whoops! I skimmed over the word ONLINE. I'm a dolt.

Gimme CS:Source, and COD:OU those are 2 great online FPS and my picks.

I tried BF2. Just a bit to cluttered for my likeing. Way to many options. And i did not like flying with the key board would rather use a stick. Would be nice to transfer from keys to stick when flying.

Recently I tried out Quake 4 and FEAR Multiplayers. Both did not impress me when it came to online play. But the single player games are great.

Finally the best multiplayer game is TEXAS HOLDEM ... lol

You can set up a joystick and set controls seperately for flying. I've done it in the demo and it works great.

I did not, however, like the game all that much. I thought the maps were to small and there wasn't enough room to fly around with those invisible boundaries.

That's why Joint Ops was my choice for a massive multiplayer FPS where there can be 150 people in a server and when everyone is actually working together it is an amazing experience.

well,/....

Half Life 2
&
COD--all of them.

Half Life 2 is probably the best game I have ever played for fun value. Great graphics and it had a lot of "neat" stuff! etc... I was really disapointed with DOOM 3 being an original doom player.
COD--. Best war game by far.
Max Payane was a lot of fun and as far as I know the orig bullet time.
FEAR has been fun. But thats about it.

JOE is LOADED with cheaters and cry babies. Upperhand is one of THE worst folks to play with online. He'll cry and whine and call you a cheating noob to no end. And who in JOE works as a team?!? It's all RAMBO or nothing. I used to LOVE JOE, but the lack of updates and seemingly lack of care on Novalogics part has crushed my love for the game. I can honestly say that I will NEVER buy another Novalogic game again.

BF2 is a great game and once you get used to the amount of options you have in the game and your key config you'll be having fun for hours on end. Plus BF2 is an infant when compared to JOE and it has already seen MORE updates and soon MORE expansions(Official that is).

If you find the right servers JointOps can be a great game. The big ones like Orange Bowl can be a pain to play on unless there happen to be some decent players in at the time.

I haven't really played the game for a while and I don't remember the name of my favorite server.

I think my "favorite" is the game I'm currently playing, whatever that may be at the time... HL2 is up there, of course. Halo was a blast. Right now I'm playing Undying again for the first time (never finished it the first time) and am having a ball with that one

COD & and COD 2 are at the top. I've spent the most time with bf1942, esp. the desert combat mod, but feel BF2 edges it out due to the graphics. All four are wonderful games though in their own right.

I still think JOE is the best. Even if you're a rifleman you still have a chance against a tank or an apc. If its a helo just switch to engineer and get a stinger. In BF2 you're running around with an m4 and getting blasted by fighter jets and attack choppers and you have no defense. Even the ground to air weapons are useless. They lock on and then the jet flies away and the projectile flies in theotehr direction. I have yet to see a jet hit by anitaircraft weaponry. Plus the maps are too small and the only way to practice is to play. There's no training to fly the jets or choppers. Yea you find whiners and crybabies in JOE but I see them in every game I play, but as long as they're not the admins you just ignore them. If they are the admins find another server. And playing with a squad on Teamspeak or ventrillo is the way to go. COD2 is good but I could have saved the $49 and kept playing Medal of Honor. The single player is fun but the multiplayer is the same as MOH. Small maps. That being said I do have to agree with Killuminatistyle, Novalogic dropped the ball bigtime. They had a red-hot, great game with free servers and tons of custom servers out there and they treated the paying customers like we were freeloaders. I dont blame anyone for not buying their products. Well that's enough out of me i guess.

RED FACTION!!! Serious too, but F.E.A.R. is amazing! I just like the speed of Red Faction, and it always runs. Counter Strike Source isn't bad either .
