Mod help.
Being new to this stuff, can someone point me in the right direction...
I want to "mod" Far Cry, to change the skin of the FatBoy Trigen, and don't really know how to go about it. It sounds simple enough... The creator says to "Extract zz-mutrl.pak to your FCData folder".. Help please? Thanks. I beat the game, and feel the need to tinker.

Find the game install.
It could be in Programs on your 'C' drive or it could have dumped files in My Games in your My Documents folder so check both (Thief : Deadly Shadows actually does both). Keep in mind that the install may have the publisher/developer's name on the folder instead of the game's. When you find it find the FCData folder and do the extract. Hint : look over the set up in that folder before you do the extract so you have some idea where the file will go.

Thanks. I got it to work. Some of them don't seem to work, or I'm doing something wrong. Oh, well.

If some of them don't work post about your problem ones on the FarCry game forum. This is the sort of thing that the 'FarCry experts' can deal with best.
When you get a "some do and some don't" situation there may be some tip or trick you can use and they'd be the ones who know it. Post your specs and the mods that work for you also so they know what they're dealing with. |
