frames per second
What do most people use to determine their in game frames per second? I read somewhere about an in game command that displays the FPS, but what is that? Or is there a program that will display it? Free preferably. Thanks

Some games have built-in consoles, where you type in a command and it shows your current FPS on a graph.
I am not too concerned with FPS. As long as I can't notice any system lag, other than common connection issues, I am happy. |

I believe in the half-life engine, the in-game command is 'net_graph x', where x is a number from 1 to 3, based on how much detail you want. (no apostrophes)

Yeah, it all depends on the game. The commands are all different from game to game. Usually if you search for cheat codes for that game (as most PC cheats are entered into the console) you'll usually find the command for FPS and other neat commands (like switching the render to wireframe)
