Oblivion wants a new videocard suggestions?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814140067 this is the card the test your system recomended for Oblivion to run on my machine. Lets just say my current videocard is um older? Ok Ati radeon 9200 and seems to be missing two or three things that oblivion wants. Suggestions appreciated.

I am playing oblivion on a 9700 mobility 64mb card at the moment. I think morrowind looks better on my system.
![]() To answer your question, in that price range for AGP I'd take a look at the 6800gs or try to find a used 6800gt/ultra. For pci-e I'd look into a 7600gt. Here's a nice 6800gs on newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130271 |

Oops, look at what happens when I try to help.
I would take a look at the 6600gt, my neighbor down the hall just got a 6600 non-gt to play oblivion and I think it looks great. That card you gave a link to would be ok, and take a look at the gt here. It's a decent price for a decent card, and I think you would appriciate the difference it will be over your 9200.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130220 |

Either card would be good with your specs.
Just check your power supply before going shopping. If it's only 300 watts get the 6600GT. Last edited by pam123; 03-30-2006 at 07:08 AM. |

Went with Raedon x700 pro. I am very happy with the card. I am also grateful for all the help and suggestions. My power supply is 300 watts and I was surprised that I had to put power from the power supply to the video card. But the installation went flawlessly despite my lack of skil.
