Game spec follies...

A company called Aspyr is putting out FunCom's Dreamfall and, apparently, they don't know a thing about computer specs.
General consternation ensued over at the game's forum when people read this :
Minimum System Requirements:
# OS: Windows XP (with service pack 2)
# CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHz or AMD Sempron 2800+ or higher
# Memory: 512 MB RAM
# Hard Drive: 7 GB free disk space
# Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
# Video Card*: 3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 128 MB with latest drivers
# Disc Drive: 8x speed CD-ROM drive or 2X DVD-ROM drive

Recommended System Requirements:
# CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.5 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 3500+
# Memory: 1 GB
# Video Card*: 256 MB 3D Hardware Accelerator Card
# Sound Card: Creative Audigy Series Sound Card

I had a good laugh but I don't imagine FunCom's too pleased Aspyr right now.

The correct specs for the game over at FunCom:
Minimum System Requirements:

-3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required - 100% DirectX(R) 8 compatible 64MB
-Hardware accelerated video card (800*600 minimum resolution)
-Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP
-Pentium(R) IV 1.5GHz or Athlon(R) XP 1500+ processor or higher
-256 MB RAM
-DVD-ROM
-4 GB free hard disk space
-100% DirectX(R) 8 compatible 16-bit sound card
-100% Windows(R) 2000/XP compatible mouse and keyboard
-DirectX(R) 8 (DirectX(R) 9 included)
-Joypad optional

7 GB of HD space that only requires a 1.6GHz?

2.5 GHz OR 3500+? Thats like a 1GHz margin

Funny stuff.

After this, I don't think Aspyr will be putting out too many games anymore.

That's the problem.
Unless Funcom made them yank a lot of boxes that's what's on them
Welcome back, by the way.
We'd wondered where your smiling face had got to.
