modem tweaks

Theres these 2 games I play on line all the time 1st is Delta Force 2 (Older game) and Delta Force Black Hawk Down

Is there anyway tweaks I can do to the modem to reduce lag while playing on-line I can't afford anything other then dailup now so I thought I'd asks

If your modem is a winmodem, upgrading to a hardware modem may get some better speed. I know when I changed from a cheap pci modem to a 3Com V.everything Corp modem my connection speeds went from 40k to 50k. Of cource your milage may vary depending on the quailty of the phone lines and distance from a telco substation.

The modem is a Conexant HSFi v90 v92 pci
it the modem that came with my desktop it dailups at 46-49Kbps i don't know if buying a better one will work better or not
