They just gave away the price and release date. $500 for one with a 20gb hard drive and $600 for a 60gb hard drive. Yikes.

I was thinking the same thing.
Consoles will replace PCs by turning into them.

Except an equivelantly powerful gaming computer will end up costing a much more than 600$ (even without the accessories).

True. BUT, it will be upgradeable to be able to play the latest and greatest games, something the console won't be able to do.

AND you can do all the other things with a PC that you can't with a console (ie web browsing)

I think it comes down to what games you like. If you're a real fan of Halo 3 or Gran Turismo or whatever, you're going to get a console, like me. If they made these games for PC, I MIGHT get them instead of getting a console, but I like having a controller with a big screen in front of me. Yes, you can hook up the computer to a TV, and have a controller, but it's not the same to me.

so since originally someone wanted the streams, i didn't find any but I got a bunch of vids from

http://pages.filefront.com/e3/index.html

there and just find a game you like and download it. a little slow but its free and most of the files are around 75mb.

check out the expansion for EaW its pretty neat, (if you're a star wars fan) and also splinter cell and Spore. and call of duty 3... lol just go check it out.
