Seawolf in win xp

Are there any old submariners out there that can tell me if and how to install and play the old electronic arts game "Seawolf" in a win xp environment?

Download and run the freeware application DosBox. It's a DOS emulator used for running DOS-based applications in a 32/64 bit environment.

http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/

EDIT: I checked the database, and Seawolf is fully supported by DosBox. Happy gaming!

I appreciate your help but the game is so old now it doesn't recognize my sound blaster audigy 2 and won't play without sound drivers installed, so I guess it's time to retire an old favorite. I sure did enjoy a lot of hours of sinking Communist subs.

Please try DosBox, it's an emulator and also emulates a Soundblaster 16 or Gravis Ultrasound card. Whatever you have in your system, you should be able to play the game with sound and all. At least give it a try...

I really would like to make it work so I downloaded dosbox and started looking at it and to be honest, dos never was my greatest ability and I couldn't make heads or tails of it. by the way, we share our birthdate (5/18) HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

It would be best if you got DosBox 0.63 and D-fend and installed both. D-fend is an excellent Windows front-end for DosBox, so you don't have to use DOS commands. I gave a link to DosBox 0.63 because the newer 0.65 version won't work with the current version of D-fend. Try these, it should be quite a lot easier to get the game going.

And a happy birthday back to you

Razor and Mesaeus, thank you for all your help. I used to play this game with my recently deceased brother. It has a great deal of sentimental value to me. I could not have done without your help. I think it works better now than it did with WIN 95 or or 98. Thanks again.
